ABL1 was Built by Tasmanian Government Railways in 1954. It is of type Bogie Passenger / Gaurds Carriage.

Built for Emu Bay Railway and purchased by Tasmanian Rail Tours in 1984.

In 1986 sold to Tasmanian Locomotive Company P/L.

Purchased by Derwent Valley Railway Preservation Society in 1992.
